Teleprompter: For UGC Creators ("Teleprompter", "the app") is an iPhone teleprompter camera. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the developer of the app. It has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising.

The short version: your scripts, recordings, dictated text and scanned pages stay on your iPhone. We never receive them. The app does send three kinds of limited, anonymous data to service providers so it can sell a subscription, understand whether the plan screen works, and keep on-device text recognition running. Each is described below. None of it is linked to your identity or used to track you.

Who is responsible

The developer of this app, as listed on its App Store page, is responsible for this policy. Contact: [email protected].

What stays on your phone

Your scripts, and the video and audio of your takes, are saved in the app's private storage on your device. Other apps cannot read them, and we cannot see them. Deleting the app removes everything it stored, including takes you haven't exported.

Camera and microphone

The camera and microphone are used only while you are recording a take or scanning a page, and only to save that take or image on your device. Nothing is streamed, and nothing listens in the background.

Dictation

Dictation turns speech into text you can edit. The app asks iOS for on-device recognition first and uses it wherever your iPhone has a model for that language. Where it doesn't, your audio is sent to Apple's speech recognition service to be transcribed, under Apple's Privacy Policy. The dictation screen shows which languages are on-device and which use Apple's service. We never receive the audio or the text.

Scanning a page

Text on a printed page is read on your device using Apple's Vision framework. For Hindi, the app uses Google's ML Kit text recognition, which also runs on your device. The photo and the text it produces stay on your phone.

ML Kit does send Google limited diagnostic information: device model, iOS version, the app's identifier and version, a random per-installation identifier, performance measurements such as processing time, settings such as image size, and error codes. It does not send the image or the recognised text. Google uses this to maintain and improve ML Kit. See ML Kit's terms and privacy.

Purchases (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat to check your App Store subscription, so the app can unlock and restore a purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier, the product you bought, your receipt and subscription status, and basic app and device information needed to do this. It does not receive your name, email, scripts or recordings. Apple handles the payment itself, and we never see your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Anonymous product analytics (Aptabase)

We use Aptabase to count a small, fixed set of events:
