How does it work?
Write a script, then tap Read it to camera. The words scroll up just under the front camera while you record, so you're looking at the lens the whole time. Tap Done to save the take.
How do I add a script?
Tap New script and choose one of three ways:
Can I change the scroll speed or layout?
Yes. Set the speed before or during a read. Choose Over you (words over your face) or Above you (a strip under the lens). The text scrolls at a steady speed and doesn't follow your voice, so pausing won't make it jump ahead.
Do I need a subscription?
Yes. Prompter is a subscription app — writing, scanning, dictating, recording and exporting all need an active plan. There's no account and no sign-up; the subscription is handled by your Apple Account.
Is there a free trial?
The yearly plan starts with a free trial for new subscribers. The monthly plan has no trial. The plan screen shows the exact length and the price that applies afterwards, in your local currency.
I paid but the app is still locked.
Open Settings › Plan › Restore purchases in the app, or tap Restore on the plan screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still doesn't work, email us with the date of purchase.
